WORKSHOP 1: LEADERSHIP SKILLS ASSESSMENT & DEVELOPMENT PLAN

The idea of developing a personal leadership development plan might seem a bit wonky, especially if you’re already in a leadership position. But having a plan more specifically, a written list of leadership skills that could be sharpened is important. On the most basic level, you want your leadership development plans to be readily accessible as both reminders and guidelines for the goals you’ve set for yourself.

WORKSHOP 2: BECOMING A TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADER

Transformational leaders inspire others to follow through by motivating, encouraging change, and having an enthusiastic passion for what they do. Transformational leaders lead by changing people. They act as coaches or mentors who guide those they lead in solving their problems. Frontline leaders who are transformational can improve their chances of having a successful team by getting their people excited about their roles on the team.

WORKSHOP 3:  BUILDING HIGH PERFORMING TEAMS

High-performance teams begin by engaging and retaining their best talent while quickly helping low-performing members find their mojo. Morale typically increases as performance increases. There is no one size fits all answer as to how to keep your particular group of employees motivated but if we look at the habits and strategies employed by successful teams, some key trends emerge.

Faculty

Dr. Allen is a highly accomplished management and organizational leadership professor, author, and leadership coach.  Greg was the recipient of the 2012 Presidential Award for Excellence in Professional Studies and Graduate Teaching at George Fox University in Portland, Oregon.  He is a John R. Wooden Certified Coach, brings over 25 years of teaching adults learners, and is a frequent conference speaker.

Greg has a remarkably rare talent for teaching and coaching in the way that only the best of teachers can, and leading and directing a student’s journey in the way that only the best of leaders can. Inspirational, empathetic, creative, intuitive, thoughtful, results-oriented, and service towards others are at the top of the long list of qualities that I use to describe Greg.

Greg was my Professor at George Fox for two years, he has become a friend and trusted business partner. I will spend a lifetime trying to repay him for the education, experience, and friendship that he provided to me.
